Knoxville, TN was amazing-so amazing, we decided to stay a night. We had plans to stay in Richmond, KY but chose to stay and enjoy the nightlife in this great revitalized city. Everyone welcomed us with open arms. We met a great man by the name of Bill, who is a busker. According to Webster's, a busker, is a person who entertains in a public place for donations. We were lucky enough to score one of CDs-on the CD he recorded not only his own music, but covers, and poetry. Check out his street performance:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vA2EMktgTK0&noredirect=1. What a great man...we so enjoyed talking to him and learning about his court cases, which he won....http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2010/jun/22/street-musician-fighting-recent-sidewalk/.
We also met a great couple by the names of James and Matha...so kind...

The Sunsphere
The Sunsphere was constructed for the 1982 World's Fair, which served as the symbol. There once was a restaurant inside. They closed the Sunsphere after the World's Fair and opened it for a short time in the late 1990s. Bill Haslam was the mayor of Knoxville during the early 2000s when he decided to reopen the Sunsphere for the public with no charge. It reopened in 2007.
Inside the Sunsphere
The views were amazing-the observation deck is on the 4th floor. You can walk all the way around it and see the entire city of Knoxville.
Downtown Knoxville, TN
Gay Street
We had lunch/dinner at the Downtown Grill and Brewery-there was outside seating and they welcomed our little Frankie, a standard sized Daschund. This is where we met Bill, James, and Matha.
