There are 50 different barns with the beautiful 8x8 quilts throughout Kankakee county. The following are the one's Ed, Frankie, and I saw and photographed. It was as much fun finding them on the rural roads as it was seeing the different patterns. This idea started in Ohio-Ed and I found some in Kentucky as well as here in Illinois. It actually started as a way to get tourist off the interstates and highways and on the more rural roads of these states. I have listed the name of the quilt pattern, year the barn was built, and the current owners of the barn/property.
